Advertisement.

I thought of putting this on the 2nd page. It's simple and not complicated. I don't want to make the page too full of everything, but still not sure if this is enough. I will ask some students to give me feedback.

This is how my 2nd page looks so far. I've added weather box. but I think that it looks a bit too plain. I might think about adding some pictures of the weather. I will also add an article about economy, and a small photo next to it. At the left side I left a box, i might put an advertisement or a voucher in it. I will not put an article because it's too small.

Weather Box

Next I have to take photos of rainy, sunny and cloudy weather to add to my weather box to make it look better and eye- catching. I am planning to put it next to (mon, tue, wed, thu, fri)

2nd page.

I've added a weather box, but now I think it looks too plain because I haven't added a lot of pictures.  I am thinking of adding few photos of the weather and also adding information about the weather for next  week at the side. I am also going to get a different photo of the sky because this one I took fro the internet.

2nd page advert.

This is how the advertisement looks. I wanted to make it plain and simple for people to read and understand. I've used a photo of a business man to make it look more professional and serious. I've put name or business in black column to make the writing stand out more. The headline and other information I wrote in black, so it's easy to read. Also put telephone number and email to make it look real.

Front page. Finished.

This is how my front page looks with my photos in it. Now I have to choose if I want to make it black and white or colored.

I've asked some of my friends for their opinion and some of them said that it looks better in color and others said that it looks better in black and white. I think that it looks better in black and white. 

Bank/finance advert for the newspaper.

I've decided to make finance advisor's advertisement.
 Started designing it and realised that I need a photo of business man/woman to make it look better. I've taken photo from the internet and changed it completely.

- as you can see the photo of the business man looks different, I've changed the size and shading, also contrast using photoshop.

I took some photos of money, to use for my front page. I used money for my photos because the article is about money - increasing university fees. I took a lot of different photos and these 5 I think are the most appropriate ones. Now I have to choose one of them to use for my front cover.

Number 5 is probably the best one. I have to decide whether I want to leave it in colour or black and white. This is how it looks.

I now have to place it in the front page to see which one looks better.
